Restaurant
C’Era una Volta…
C’era una volta… dating back to the late 19th century, blending over a century of history with Bologna’s culinary tradition.
The restaurant features classic local dishes alongside contemporary creations inspired by our chefs. Relax in the elegant dining room or outdoors on Via Marescalchi and enjoy the authentic flavors of Bologna.

The cuisine
Tradition in every dish
The menu changes with the seasons, offering a richer selection in fall and winter and lighter dishes in summer. The cuisine celebrates tradition, from tortellini and tagliatelle al ragù to lasagna and cutlets alla petroniana, along with daily specials. Everything is made in-house, from dough prepared the night before to the fresh bread, bread sticks, and meat sauce prepared each morning. Don’t miss the Bolognese trio: cream-filled tortellini with Parmesan, tagliatelle with ragù, and your choice of tortelloni, lasagna, or gramigna with sausage.
