Driving in the city center
The Customers of the Hotel Roma are authorized to drive in the ZTL – Zone with Limited Traffic to arrive to the Hotel and to leave from the city center by specific ways:
- via Marconi;
- via San Felice;
- via Sant’Isaia;
- via Tagliapietre.
The city center of Bologna is controlled by two different automatic systems:
SIRIO: system to control the access in the ZTL and to fine all the cars without a specific authorization;
RITA: automatic system to fine all the access in streets reserved to the bus circulation and in the "T" area with interdicted traffic (including via Indipendenza, via Rizzoli and a part of via Ugo Bassi).
At the arrival the Guest is invited to inform the Reception about the details of his car, included the number plate, to proceed with the comunication on-line to the Comune of Bologna.
If it will be necessary you can ask to the Reception of the Hotel Roma the transmission by fax the written indications to arrive by your car to the Hotel.
And also in the “Access Paln” section of the web site you’ll find a map of the city center.
The authorization to access in the ZTL doesn’t include the possibility of access and transit in streets reserved to the bus circulation, area with interdicted traffic or pedestrian area and the possibility to use the public parking (for this you can ask to the Reception a parking ticket).
If you will receive a fine from the Comune of Bologna, please, call immediately the Hotel Roma at the number +39/051/231330 to verify if it's emitted by the system "SIRIO" for the access in the ZTL or by the system "RITA" for a forbidden area.
In the first case the Hotel it will be at your total disposal to control if it will be possible to ask the cancellation of the fine.
